Serving the Louisville community is what Jim Ellis is all about. In addition to his more than 30 years serving his legal clients with care and integrity, Jim stays actively involved with a number of important organizations. As chairman of the Louisville Metro Police Foundation, Jim oversees the critical work of assisting police officers in need with training, equipment, financial support, counseling, and more. A former U of L basketball player and lawyer to many prominent sports figures, Jim also dedicated more than 20 years to serving as the president of the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame. Jim is also a member of the Salvation Army’s rehabilitation board and the board of the Kentucky State Fair.


Ultimately, it’s this strong sense of commitment and dedication to service that has always motivated Jim—on behalf of his clients and for the betterment of his community.
